      • Okay, 2 things. 1. I was wrong in my post yesterday about the 10/31/13 gap being at 23.74. It was actually on 10/30/2013 close at 24.42 and gaped down the next morning to 23.42 and retraced to 23.74 within a few minutes before continuing down to 22.64 ish. 2. I read an article a week or two ago that said if SLW does not close and hold the 24.00 ish dollar price level with authority, it would be a strong short. Very strong short. Just thought I would share as this has been floating around in the back of my mind as of late. Didn't really pay it much attention as we were in the 21's & 22's.

      • Has to be your decision sami. look at a daily chart, I see resistance at 24.35 / 24.40, always an urge to sell at a loss, for all of us, sort of have to use stop losses or have a plan made. I'm waiting a bit

    • Hi Sharpie. Have not posted in a long time eventhough I do keep an eye on the various PM boards.
      Guess that Pivots, EW etc can be done on mulitple time frames, minute, hourly, daily, weekly etc.

      Regarding Pivots I use the weekly time frames. I am more of a position trader. Not in / out all the time due to biz - time constraints.

      For SLW & EXK week 2/3/2014 I have following:

      Symbol High Low Close Range PP R1 R2 S1 S2
      SLW 22.79 21.45 22.62 1.34 22.29 23.12 23.63 21.78 20.95

      EXK 4.76 4.20 4.74 0.56 4.57 4.93 5.13 4.37 4.01

      Formatting not easy on these boards so the S2 for both equities are below the HIGH column...

      For those that would like to know the formula to calculate these Support / Resistance numbers, here you go.

      Pivot points can be expressed by the following formula:

      PP = (H + L + C) / 3
      R1 = 2 * DP - L
      S1 = 2 * DP - H
      R2 = DP + (R1 - S1)
      S2 = DP - (R1 - S1)

      Appreciate all the time you BeachDave, Cowboy, Chemaes and many others contribute to the board and in trying to teach "others" what they have learned.

      Sentiment: Hold

    • what does THAT mean?
