Kodak and Carrefour World's 2nd largest Retailer, REALLY!
This is getting really funny. Where are they finding these people? Carrefour, world's second largest retailer! What world do they live in, never heard that name before.
At least I heard of CVS, just never went in one, but I did read their Annual Report and the 8 page "Letter to stockholders" never ever said anything about any relationship with Kodak. I guess its not worth it !
Still waiting for EK agreement with my "paperboy"! He is willing to give them a "great" deal!
Carrefour is Big... But like CVS, It is a contract renewal, not new business. So it helps preserve the status quo. In the US, Walmart and Walgreen's has 65% photo market share. Kodak has neither account. A Win would be a new customer with material market share.
Looks like Laura Quatela, President of Kodak, is positioning KSS for the potential buyer. If its the Carrefour Group, this is BIG.
The Carrefour Group:
Carrefour S.A. is a French multinational retailer headquarted in Boulogne Billancourt, France, in Greater Paris. It is one of the largest hypermarketchains in the world (with 1,395 hypermarkets at the end of 2009), the second largest retail group in the world in terms of revenue, and the third largest in profit(after Wal-Mart and Tesco).

Sorry, the only time I have ever been out of the country was when the USAF sent me to Opheim Montana, (779th Aircraft Control and Warning Radar Site). An ocean of land as far as the eye could see and no trees, houses, or people. 110 miles just to cash your check but nothing to buy anyway. Glad to be back in the USA!
Don't laugh... the recently formed union, Paperboys U.S.A, is in delicate contract negotiations with Kodak. The alleged service will entail the Paperboys union members picking up Kodak photos from kiosks around the Country and delivering them... Negotiations have currently hit a snag because the Paperboys union wants health, pension and more wage concessions. Press release forthcoming...
