A large well known private equity company just filed a 13D announcing they own 6% of IEC
Yes, Girls, IEC has plenty of value and some smart money is moving on it. Vintage Capital Management filed a 13 D disclosing their new 6% stake in IEC. This explains the increase in volume in price in recent weeks. These boys do not buy to lose money. They can certainly be considered activist. Take a look at Aaron's a consumer rental company they have a stake in--they are nominating 5 directors to the board and they are trying to buy the whole company for 2.3 Billion dollars. yes that is Billion with a B B B B. They can take out IEC with their pocket lint if it suits them-----they can also squeeze the living #$%$ out of the new short position that has jumped up to 100000 shares from almost nothing.
I would not bet against vintage capital. they are too big, too strong, and too smart, and now they too own IEC shares. THIS HERE BE VERY BIG NEWS. VERY BIG
What do you mean, just filed? Isn't this 13D a month old? And no they aren't large and very well known...if they were they wouldn't be HQ in Orlando. But it is possible good news that will put Barry out of his misery sooner rather than later. Hopefully at a decent price north of $5/share.
Hopefully someone like Veritas takes an interest too like in Syracuse. The fact nobody commented on the 13D filing for over a month shows how we are completely under the radar. Vintage's investment is a huge plus for me.
