So, do you want to buy AMRI on a day when their internal buy back activities are inflating the price?
I recently sat-in on some after the close drinking session with My Fund Manager Drinking Buddy (MFMDB). He and his colleagues mentioned that in general buy backs were a huge fad in the recent past. Hey, all the kids are doing it! Just like getting multiple piercings etc MFMDB and his friends said many companies announced buy backs in hopes that the announcement would trigger a rebound. Many companies announced buy backs with no real solid plans or strategy. I am not implying that this is the case with AMRI, but this might offer food for thought.
At current levels, AMRI looks like a buy. It might be good to buy now and sell at $10. However, there might be other stocks out there that might have been smacked around and have better fundamentals.
