Has anyone else who has Pandora noticed the increase in ads the last few months??
it use to be every so often an ad popped up, now it is non stop ad action.
With record iphones, ipods, ipads being sold last quarter, Pandora is sure to have increased revenue and listeners.. anyone who owns a device most likley will download Pandora..
and also every new car commercial having pandora in the dash on the radio, come on.. NO BRAINER

I have noticed that they take up more of the screen on my iPhone. You know, the ones you can click on. I have actually installed some aps through Pandora. Zillow, for one. Almost bought a house on Zillow.

And I could care less if some people dropped SiriusXM and now maybe use Pandora (or one of the numerous competitors). SiriusXM subs keep growing, and even during the worst recession since the 1930's, SiriusXM grew subscribers.
Conversely, I personally know people who used Pandora, but once they heard SiriusXM, they dumped the free service and subscribed to SiriusXM for superior content, coverage and quality.
the ads are nice in that it's showing the market impact advertisers are seeing with P's delivery medium. The overlooked fact here is that for $3/month you get this all ad free; pretty sweet deal in my book!

Of course you dummies don't realize that if everyone migrated to the paid service, it would cannibalize ad revenue. Unfortunately P's business model is built on ad revenue, so the $3/month may be a good value to you, but to your precious company it's a death-knell.
Awesome! More ads!! So when the ads become so prevalent that it's the same as listening to terrestrial radio (AM/FM), why would anyone pay for a data plan to listen to Pandora in their car, only to get the same thing one could get for free and at a much higher sound quality?
One could also view it as they are essentially paying part of their data plan specifically to listen to advertisements.
Sounds like a great service! Unfortunately most people hear enough ads throughout their day already. Increasing the number of ads will start driving people away to other services or devices that one can use AD-FREE.
Actually, I don’t pay attention to the pop ups on my phone or desktop. The frequency for audible ads remains the same, four 15 second ads within one hour of music play.
Have you heard the Home Depot ad that will link you through Facebook for discounts and special deals?
