One of Time magazines "pictures of the year has a group of firefighters in hazmat suits that cost over $ 1,000 each. Does MSA make any equipment like this? If not why not. It would seem that it is a good market what with the state of the world.

no they dont. they make equipment to help people live in Mines. this includes helmets, and high tech goggles to see through smoke... and fire safety equipment including rope safety harnesses for working high up in trees and such. The helmet business for mines spun off into military helmets to keep armed forces alive. protective body armor is not part of this company. this is my understanding of what they do. mb
