Utica Could be the "Gold mine" for Magnum Hunter

In reviewing the recent management presentation, its easy to see how the Utica holdings could be a gold mine! Other E&Ps like Anadarko are having some really good results in the counties around MHR leases! It will not be long until we have the first results from the new well in the Utica - do the math - within a year there can be 20 more wells coming online, and with oil prices even at $95-$100 we should see strong increases in the bottom line. Take the debt off the books with the sale of non core holdings and the sale of the pipeline, and you are left with a highly profitable company....

I will be very surprised if we don't have other companies already probing with management to make offers - it may be what prompted the issuance of the warrants at the time it was done....

Look for buyout offers at $10-14 dollars within 6 months.....

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

I think the farley well is going to be pretty good!

      Sentiment: Buy

    • You guys are so happy at a $10-$14 buyout offer and don't realize what this company just told you all. Assuming that the Utica pans at 50% you are looking at a company with Proven reserves of close to 400 MMBOE assuming they only make $25 (net after cost) that translates into a Enterprise value of $10B, recall that 39% of this is crude. Gary is not going to be interested in a $2.3B ($14 x 170M shares) offer. He's no fool. That why he's talking about a partnership for Utica to realize the value of the asset.
