The new Z10 is on sale, but cannot access the CLWR network. Who is going to be off loading S capacity to CLWR if device makers are not inclucing the CLWR spectrum in their newly released devices??
The Samsung S IV does have LTE-Advanced access. Will that be enough??
On this message board, there is discussion that the iPhone 5 is LTE-A capable, but Apple techies on other news sites are silent about that option. You would think that techies in Japan would be accessing the Softbank LTE-A network using the iPhone 5 by now; however, there is no indication that it is happening.
Potential and Reality seem to be at odds. 'Build it and they will come' logic does not seem to be playing out for CLWR at the moment. How do you pay for the upgrade of 2000-5000 towers this year, if there are just a few users? S is accused of starving CLWR; however, the device makers do not seem to be planning a rescue plan either. The 100 MB download hope is missing the reality of device investment.
