When is the time to sell?

I am not here to bash the fund, as it is great and has been great to me! However, I bought in around the 130 range and it now sits close to the all-time high. I am terrible at timing the market, so is there any experienced investor that has sold or would advise selling before it drops? Do you see a lot more uptrend?

    • I have the fund for 25 years and up 125%. You never sell this fund.

    • Are you kidding?
Vanguard Health Care fund isn't some single company stock you trade in & out of, it's IMO a very long term investment,it increases in value & goes to work for you by appreciating over time with dividends & capital gains reinvested cost averaging in.................

      • No, im not kidding, thats why I was asking. I do not want to be a day trader or selling in and out of these funds, but I have such bad luck I did not know if I should ride this up and sell before it takes a downturn. I take it that you have been her for awhile, will? I would love to hear more of your advice. Are you telling me it is best to just stay in the fund (when it goes up and down) and collect divys? I know it appreciates over time, but do you sell when it starts to go down or just ride the waves and collect divys?

Thanks for any help and info. I have been here for about a year! GLTA!
