Since I live in New York City, I am thinking about driving down the turnpike, and attending the shareholder meeting. I have a significant portion of my investment invested in Antares and I would like to meet the individuals running this company in person. Also, I have never been to one... I am curious. Are any others
planning to attend? It would be fun to meet some of the other longs.
I just called the law office that it will be held at. The room that is scheduled for the ATRS shareholder meeting has a max capacity of 45 people depending on how the room is set up. What happens if 100+ people show up and there's not enough room? That will be interesting.
Believe me, if Wotton were asked what he would prefer, a large retail investor turn-out at ATRS' Shareholder Meeting or a rootcanal, he would answer something like: "A rootcanal?... ROOTCANAL!!??... Hell, I'd take an appendectomy with a bread knife."
You are invited, but really not wanted. Let this be clear.
The meeting is in a lawyer's office. Could they be expecting a large attendance? Will there be babes serving canapés? Perhaps a touch of the bubbly to celebrate?
You will be treated with utmost courtesy, allowed to vote and beyond that you will really not be given the time of day. After 20 - 30 minutes, if it takes that long, you will be sent on your way possibly with a warm handshake.
My question is this:
Will we have the opportunity to ask questions directly to Mr. Wotten, as 99.9% of all other US shareholder meetings do?
We need the vail of secrecy opened.
I have a feeling that our dream of our company being acquired is way off into the future so answering point blank questions concerning our pipeline and approx. dates would do wonders to our PPS going forward.
Let's face it, this is not a $3.60 stock and the secrecy, other than a realistic reason for suppressing our PPS (which seems to be happening today), needs to be explained.
That will be my main reason I would go.
I have never been to one of these before. But then again, I have never had almost all of my eggs in one basket. What I am hoping to do, is get a chance to speak these guys one-on-one, as opposed to an open forum, and ask them some point pointed questions. That may or may not happen, but anyway, I want to be there, since I consider this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. As far as age goes, and if it puts things in perspective, I am 45. Hope to see you here.
That would be awesome to see management in person. I too have all of my eggs in this basket and it would be nice to meet some of the greats on this board! hope to see you there too!
You are cordially invited to attend the 2013 Annual Meeting of Stockholders of Antares Pharma, Inc., to be held at 10:00 a.m., local time, on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the offices of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, 1701 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
My brother lives in Lancaster PA, so I'm toying with the idea of paying him a visit and combine the stockholders meeting in Philly as well, not 100% sure just yet.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
