FORD and the unions have to agree - that FORD set an excellent example of what american workers and managemnt can do outside of government intervention. It is so much better to see company's manage themselves. Mitt Romney would be a welcome change for our country too since he brings leadership and know how to lead successfull businesses. If we can get Romney in office we will see a turn around in our economy virtually overnight. Just think of how the democrats have hurt us so far. They failed to act on jobs when they had a majority from 2008 to 2010. What else do we need to know.
If Rommy was in charge, All the big three would have gone under. Just like rommy would have liked. Then his buddies at toyota and kia would have paid into his offshore accounts.
business as usual...

I CERTAINLY AGREE. OBAMA IS BANKRUPTING THIS COUNTRY AND LEADING US INTO SOCIALISM....HE AND REID MUST GO...
So what specifically will romney do to turn the economy around. Would you buy a car not knowing anything about it except taking the word of the salesman that it is a good car. No, you would not. The same goes for your president. How can you be expected to vote for a president that doesn't offer one specific plan of what he will do if elected. The republicans really don't think to highly of the american voter, do they.
Here's Mulally's testimony to congress
"In particular, the collapse of one or both of our domestic competitors would threaten Ford because we have 80 percent overlap in supplier networks and nearly 25 percent of Ford's top dealers also own GM and Chrysler franchises.
The impact of a bankruptcy also reaches beyond Ford and the U.S. auto industry. It would cause further stress to our domestic banking industry and private retirement systems. Goldman Sachs estimates the impact at up to $1 trillion."
I suggest you go back to obummer school. You have not learned anything else. You are not a Capitalist, no business sense or you would not put down a busines man vs. a business destroyer. You are the very big part of the problem, ignorance. You do not believe in a Constitutional Republic, that we American believe in.
without Obama's leadership to stand up to the never ending drumbeat of lies from the right, there would be no ford.
Nobody had 50 billion to loan GM for bankruptcy in the worst recession since the depression that also devastated the financial system. If GM and C shut down operations it would have shut down Ford as well. Its why Ford supported the bailout (remember, they all went together to beg congress for money)
GM and Ford have approximately 80 % overlap of suppliers. If GM suppliers go out of business, Ford cant get the parts.
Ford’s own plan stressed that its ability to survive a recession and return to profitability was not only contingent on how well the total market performs, but also on the shortterm survival of its domestic competitors, because “Our industry is an interdependent one. We have 80% overlap in supplier networks,” plus many dealers also have operations selling GM or Chrysler products. Accordingly, Ford requested a “stand-by” line of credit of up to $9 billion as “a back-stop to be used only if conditions worsen further and only to the extent needed
