Good thread. Those selling fewer trucks (engines not as good? bad color selection? or..) had to mark them down more.
It's not good for GM's bottom line if they do too much of that, so we can assume it's for a short time only, I think.
QUESTIONS--Ford is letting GM have the old US niche once occupied by the Ford Ranger? (Ford no longer makes the Ranger for the US, partly due to less need here since people can get such good mpg with Ford's bigger trucks now?) GM might shift production to the smaller, Ranger-size category if Ford trucks are winning too much of the larger pick-up biz?
