For those of you who don't know what poor is let me tell you
when I was young we had cambels soup with crackers or bread. When things became worse my siblims and myself had milk and bread in a bowl.
At no time did I feel undernurished.
In fact we never felt poor.
My family was dirt poor. But as a child I never felt poor at all.
The point I'm trying to make is I wanted to make sure my life would be better.
I worked my butt off and saved everything I made.
I had goals and ambitions that my family never had.
I could not have money for my lunch at school,so I washed cafeteria dishes.
I never ever felt I was poor. I only wanted to better myself well beyond what my parents provided.
My family for a short time was on welfare. We recieved food and benefits from the Salvation Army as well.
All trhis due to a gun shot to my dad while we were hunting rabbits. I was 9 years old.
So, what is my bottom line?
Everyone can accomplish things they never thought possible if they only had a drive, ambition and goals in life.
I had all three things and did very well for myself and my family.
P.S. We give a great deal of money every year for those in need.
God will bless those ten times over for helping others in need. My family has been blessed.
Appears there is no slimmy depth to which a lib will not go. When mom and dad got electricity there was toast with the milk, sugar and cinnnamon later. Guess you know the rest of the story, nothing ever expexpected 'Free"!
You have all missed the point.
Anyone who has drive, ambition and goals in life can go where no one has gone before.
It takes hard work. If your on time for a job, your too late.
Thats what my dad always taught me.
So the bottom line is I have gone a lot farther then my peers in life and success.
Whats wrong with that?
