Famous Dave's of America Inc. Message Board

    question for mtheblond

I've apreciated much of the insight and commentary that you have provided on this board. It's also nice to hear from the other folks who live close enough to actually go to Daves, as I have not had the opportunity.

Anyway, I bought stock in North Central Bancshares (FFFD) which operates in Iowa. Being on the east coast myself I don't have any first hand experience with the bank, but liked the financials. Their message board is all but dead. So, I thought I'd ask youif you happened to have any personal experience with the bank or know what its local reputation is.

If you consider it an imposition please don't feel obligated to reply. Or if you don't want to post anything unrelated to DAVE here, perhaps you could go to the FFFD board (last post there was on 4/01, so I'll be able to find it).

Well, thanks...and whether you reply to this or not please keep providing your thoughts on DAVE. And who knows, maybe it will break $8 with some volume and stay above there long enough to create a new floor. I'm getting tired of the bouncing around between $7 and $8 although I guess some traders are making money.

    • Thanks for the kind remarks. I just got a postcard for a Famous Dave's Feast For Two for only $19.99 (regularly $26.99), so I'll be going there again soon.

As for your bank stock, I wish I could help, but they are not in the parts of Iowa I have lived in, so I have no experience or knowledge of them. It took me a little while to figure out which bank they are, because we have a couple of others in this state with similar names. There's a First Federal Bank of Sioux City (FFSX) and another First Federal Savings Bank chain that trades under the symbol CASH.

      Best wishes with your purchase.

      Blondie
