I think NTE can be down 10%-15% tommorow. Would not be good idea to hold into earnings. Smarter to wait until after NTE earnings for more clarity before buy shares or buy back shares.
Do you have any idea how much they need to fall before NTE is worth less than $13. Have you paid any attention that they have other customers.
I am tired of you people who can't add #'s and put a valuation on a company. But then again, that is also why making money is so easy.
It is *not* very poor results and guidance. It is a little less than expected. But it's not off a cliff as some people feared. Apple is still selling 10s of millions of iPhones and iPads each quarter. We wil not know until next week, but so far I don't see where this will affect Nam Tai at all. But it will be interesting to see what Nam Tai's expectation is for this year. I think it will continue to be for record revenue and earnings.
Revenue guidance way below already drastically lowered expectations
Gross margin guidance way below expectations
Company refuses to give eps guidance (never seen this before) creating a giant amount of uncertainty
IPhone and IPad holiday sales below already lowered estimates.
Guided 5% lower, which means they probably will meet forward guidance since they always sandbag estimates. Lot's of news media BS about cutting LCD shipments.
Tons of iPhones will be flowing through NTE's factory. Not to mention the other LCD's for the other phone manufactures. My guess is they were producting for HTC's 5 inch HD smartphone, and now the upcoming new Sony's. Not to mention Sony's new tablet which looks like will be a winner.
I hope NTE drops tomorrow so that I can buy more.
