I have not paid attention to RAIT for a long time. Just wondering if the loses they are show are non cash or are they material to their balance sheet. I am debating if I should buy back in if the price comes in some. Also what happened to the Cohen's? Any idea of where RAS will be in a few years. Thanks in advance, Darnoc.

    • Long time no see, Darnoc. How has the sci-fi script writing been going?

The Cohen's are gone, unfortunately. We especially miss Daniel's involvement with the Taberna issues. Which brings us to your other question--the losses are still on the balance sheet and very material, yet in the long range thinking of an increasing number of new investors (including an increasing presence of new institutional investors) are not a negative that overshadows RAS' growing positives.

      • You must have forgot me I did not write sci-fi, I had a spinal cord injury and now trade a little to make some extra money. Are you still teaching? Seems to me when someone asked about RAS you used to write a whole article about it. Are the loses from the Taberna investment? I have a big question for you -- what makes RAS worth a yield of around 5% when you can buy into so many other REITS for a much higher yield? Also it seems that the new management has been able to turn the corner and are breathing new life back into this company.
