his next CRM rant will begin in about 20 minutes or so. He got his former employer (GS) to upgrade this morning. I doubt it was a coincidence. Today it's OK with me because I bought some near the close last night. But it is amazing what he gets away with this manipulation through his old buddies just to look brilliant on the airwaves.
Although I don't trust GS, your thesis is on the paranoid side. Recognizing this smoke and mirrors company got spanked yesterday, I can't believe you would play it long. Benioff is a poor man's version of PT Barnum (and far less intelligent). CRM's trend is, rightfully, down-independent of an already descending market. From my view, a bit too late to short, as could be rangebound, but definitely not going up appreciably anytime in the near future.
Call me paranoid too because I think there's a good chance he's right. If you don't think Cramer makes calls for himself and his buddies and the HFT world that trade back and forth to each other with downright stock manipulation I don't think you are paying attention.
In any other industry these guys would be considered crooks. Here it's slightly more than business as usual.
Did you ever see the old tape where Cramer tells Aaron Trask how to start a rumor and float it to Bob Pisani back in his hedge fund days? The guy has no ethics whatsoever.
