You eat in these red meat emporiums all the time. All of them. Including McD's. Admit it. You are a living corpuscle on ateriosclerotic alert.
The only one you don't eat in regularly is Red Lobster because its menu is too healthy and because the nearest store site is, after all, in Connecticut. "Let's see, where should I eat tonight? Legal Seafood nearby... or drive 3 hours to CT to eat at Red Lobster?" Where do you think I would go to, MORON (to use YOUR term)!
You want to do some diligence? Do it by reviewing the financials including the metrics for Mortons which I have followed for years (never owned) since I knew Arne Morton, along with Gene Sage and several other of the Chicago glory-era steakhouse restauranteurs when Eli's, The Butcher Shop and The Chop House ruled the dining scene.
The only "ala carte" difference between Mortons and Longhorn is a baked potato. Savings? $6 to eat at Longhorn's with a free baked potato. Nice. Feel free to stick the free butter and sour cream wherever it feels appropriate!
