WAG and Express Scripts will come to tewrms in the fall.
No. This is a short sighted move.
ESRX has said other pharmacies have accepted the newly proposed reimbursement rates. Why do you feel other insurers won't turn up the pressure on WAG. They are in the business of saving $ for an employer, if they get 10M in savings from WAG, they have now made 10M?
If ESRX has an effective strategy of working through this with minimal patient disruption, it opens the door for CVS to pull out Caremark business.
It will be interesting to see what happens, but from press articles it looks as though 300M is what they are negotiating.
