What more do you have to see other than that the index it is supposed to track by means of indirect futures is up day after day in the range of 2-3% and the product is down 2-3%. Completely inverse! Hehe
You can make a lot of money being short this product even for long term. Just recognize the day(s) it decides to change. Like once or twice a year.
Not bad odds.
Stop telling people that. It is unrealistic to say the least. Put your money in more probable scenarios.
This has a management fee, contango at like (-20% a month lately) and a risk free market! There is literally no way to rise as of now.
You will undoubtedly know when it is time to buy. AFTER it rises 10% in a day I would say...
life is a gamble.. and so are stocks and VXX is definitely a gamble... with vix at all time lows it could go lower if the market does have qe3... if not then prepare for some surprises.
Yes you are right about that. It's everyone's right to captain their own ship.
Like my cousin's wife who is having a baby today or tomorrow. She felt it alright to drink and smoke while she was pregnant to the point she passed out drunk a few times! It was her boat to captain she said. Evidently it seems to not be turning out too well. We will see after they have to induce labour hehe.
But she says, 'Why did thi happen to me.' She honestly can not figure it out.
Yes you are right on that. Those 30 and 40 prints were from a base of 30 and 40.
Change this long term graph to percentages.
This product will NEVER see $30 again unless it reverse splits (which I see happening soon).
The VIX is not going to rise 100%. I'm refraining from insulting language but seriously this is getting border line absurd that people actually think this.
I am just trying to save a couple people some money. Maybe it is pointless.
If you wanted to go long, Greg on this board has an excellent analysis and trigger point using the VXX/VXV ratio. It is superb.
Anything below a ratio of 1 (95% of the time), is a short.
There will be a time to go long but to me it looks like about 1 month out if at all...that could change with more money printing.
