    Charles Ober's Retirement

Is anybody concerned about this? Does anybody know anything about Ober's successor, Timothy Parker?

    • HEY GRIFF,MY PHENIX CITY ALABAMA/GEORGIA FELLOWMAN!!
yes i am concerned about this change in management also, i don't know and haven't researched anything on the new manager that is probably the reason i will probably exit this fund next year until i get a feel of this new admin. you seems to be on top of things judging from some of your posts, so if you see, hear,or sense anything please let us know.

      thanks!!

      • Redbug,
Always nice to hear from a fellow "southerner" lol. Anyway, I'll definitely keep my eyes open! I think I'll probably do the same as you and exit PRNEX sometime within the next year, too. I found Jennison and a few others that seem to have some potential, but it's hard to gauge (at this point) how inflation is going to effect things. I gotta be honest with you, the bulk of my investments are international or domestic companies with a lot of international ties. Inflation is about to explode and it's hard to tell, right now, what Bernanke's exit strategy is going to be.....so buckle your seat belts, bro because this is going to be an interesting ride.

    • The biggest impact on the future of any fund is the change in a fund's manager.

This is probably the most important thing that has happened to the New Era Fund in the last 12 years and no one seems to have noticed.
