I hope the reason is not because they cant put it to use. I have been hearing for years in various articles and also from Jim Rodgers, the commodity expert that India is not doing nearly what china is doing to rebuild infrastructure and Jim said he traveled in both countries and in india it is like traveling in the jungle in most areas ,the roads are so bad. My God, I hope this new govt will change things. My question...if India does not properly invest in infrastructure, where will this co's business in the future come from? They are not exactly surrounded by friendly countries.
Investment in infrastructure in India is inevitable. It will be at a rampant in next 3 years. Indian govt. has lot of private company's bidding for Road, bridges, power plants, highways, airport upgrades, township development.
After the election, the housing market has started to increase as the stock market went up about 3000 points. So, SLT will do very good in coming months and years.
Don't you people realize that with the acquisition of the huge copper mine in AZ that SLT is the 2nd largest copper producer in the U.S.? It is not limited to India and also sells alot of its copper to China.
hahaha yeah inflation could get bad. although you over look one thing thier 4b in cash is in rupees so actually we want the dollar to drop. also if you think inflation will hit the best investments will be comodities and overseas investments like adr shares. if inflation hits all of the comodities that slt produces will go to the record highs they were at. so if that happens slt could get up to 1200-1500 rupee, now at 700. the main thing will be that the dollar dropping will make the rupee more valuable. right now the rupee is .0214 but back a year ago it was .025. since slt is 700 now times by .0214 that comes to 14.98 in dollars. if the rupee was .025 slt would be at 17.50.
so what i am getting at is that slt is expanding its operations by allot, the rupee could hit .025, maybe even .03, and comodities could go higher.
heres to inflation. lets make a ton off of it
