    • Very cool, the pieces keep coming together for Rovi to be the go to source for virtually anything w/in the digital media market. They are definitely positioned second to none amongst companies able to deploy a digital storefront in it's entirety, able to deliver end to end in the highest quality & w/ complete compatibility w/ UV, where they are able to go above and beyond others will similar capabilities is through their massive metadata files beyond that of any competitor, furthermore having the info/guide side technology protected through over 5, 100 patents that primarily relate to the guide aspects of the business.
There is no other competitor in the VOD storefront market capable of delivering on all fronts as Rovi can, making them the go to provider of choice for the deployment of various branded storefronts throughout both the US as well as Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, Germany & the rest of Europe and on into Asia & the rest of the globe.
As UV grows & prospers so goes Rovi, as they are so tightly tied & intertwined w/ that platform which is the future of home entertainment and will succeed as the studios are determined for it to. They have already taken continually engaging steps, including the all powerful restructuring of the release windows which we are seeing moving more & more towards early release to digital w/ lately a commonly seen 2 week prerelease to that of the in store DVD/Bluray physical discs. We are also seeing the ever powerful force of improved prices to that of the Blu-ray discs & even dvd's.
Now that we are reaching the technology levels needed to support & provide content in the highest quality possible through digital delivery, something previously impractical if even possible given the broadband requirements for such a delivery, but now & especially in the very near term w/ h.265 deployment on the upcoming Rovi total solution, the point of inferiority to the quality of bluray discs is no longer an issue.
Then throw in Rovi's disc to digital solution for home bluray players & you have a storefront offering that can't be matched
