I think all who have read my posts over the last several years know I almost never veer from strictly scientific investigatory type informative posts but considering all the events of the last year leading to massive employee termination, abandonment of stem cell research, disillusionment of patient’s expectations, disastrous investments in dead end ventures correlated with the destruction of long term shareholder value….failed clinical trials……etc etc…… this needs to be said!
Geron's Board has a consistent history of awarding bonuses to executives despite fiscal and scientific disaster.
The news today indicates another instance of awarding generous Executive Cash Bonuses which again confirm IMO that Geron's Board is a complete and utter disgrace.
I share your outrage, however, it is like that everywhere with almost every major corporation these days. There is absolutely no bonuses or pay for performance in corporations today. Instead of golden parachutes, CEO's need to get a leather boot in the adze! That said, this is business as usual.
ear: if you and others had listened to me after the Maui disaster and ousted Barkus when we could have, maybe, just maybe, the outcome would have been different.
But, we had the spin doctors hyping management's excellence and the techies gloating over the technology. Few of us were concerned about the management team required to get products from the lab to the market!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bluntly: you grossly screwed up by not looking at the big picture!!! You were focused on the WRONG thing!
Black, your frustration with Huh, Scarlett and company and that of Okarma to gobble up shareholder interests for self interests is not out of place. It very much looks that way. However, we will have to see in the coming months what transpires. If these bozzos come up with some thing that propells the share price well above $5.00, I would just be happy!!
