Comcast Corporation Message Board

Re: Thinking off the top of my head 3 minutes ago
Google (and others like apple) are expanding/encroaching upon CATV operators traditional business model
Comcast needs the mobile option or everyone will be stealing their lunch (revenue streams)

This is the California gold rush of multimedia convergence and, companies like Clearwire CLWR are the bandwidth spectrum claims from which that gold will be mined.

If you don't own the mine, you will have to pay others for the gold (bandwidth)

Many companies have failed to grasp the true significance of this paradigm shift-- Comcast would be wise to act now before someone else exploits the reality of this perception disconnect.

note: from the Comcast concentric perspective; not from the CLWR Switzerland business plan

Great insight, Comcast would love to be able to offer a turn key quadruple play to its customers.

(landlines, cell, home video/mobile video, and home inet/mobile inet) and Comcast unlike Sprint or other carriers already owns programming content.

All in All It would leverage/enhance their core competencies and revenue streams by expanding their potential subscriber market base and reducing subscriber turn over.

Comcast would be a one stop shop imho
