I have no idea why you are getting one stared. if you look at careers ... http://www.proterra.com/index.php/about/careers and page 1 and 2 ... you will notice the 12 month roll out for battery 2. I know I have speculated on this in the past ... But reading looks like Proterra is looking for an additional method for fast charging. I also am not happy with the new specifications of charging every hour for 10 minutes ... several competitors batteries might do that at least up to 80% charge. and still go 1 hours or say 30 miles... (I wonder how Foothill can do that in CA traffic?) But I did notice they are now running over 12 hours per day ... so that is good. but still would allow a slower trickle charge to full capacity at night. thanks tactless

Why is it that Umea or Opbrid will be trying ALTI cells instead of VLNC? Your statement above is just not true and I published an article from Davis university confirming this. Other chemistry could do 1C (1 hour) and maybe 2C which is 30 minutes for 80% charge but hardly better without impacting their expected cycle life.

"Proterra... careers... " Sure. What you should say is that Proterra has been doing their own battery from ALTI modules since the beginning. Also Proterra do thei own BMS, and then a lot of engineering for the fast charging circuitry. How you conclude they may switch the cells or modules to a different vendor is just amazing. All this knowing the number one selling point that Proterra is pushing is fast charging which is one of the biggest strength of LTO cells is another amazing thought!
