http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/06/08/microsoft_azure_ocz/ "Our sources close to OCZ tell us that the world's largest independent SSD company is supplying SSDs, possibly Z-Drive R4 drives with VXL caching software, to Microsoft for use by the Azure cloud. That would be a huge win for OCZ and elevate its credibility as an enterprise SSD supplier sky-high."
$1-1.2 Billion buyout imho
Why not less? Because if STX doesn't act now, WDC is going to buy OCZ and bye bye Seagate. Western Digital has net cash to buy. A steal at 33% less than FIO 's market cap and the deals from Microsoft. Time is of the essence. Price had to be negotiated fairly. Seagate wants $10-16, OCZ wants $12-18....range is going to be $12-16 for the final.
My personal determination is $14.75-$17.75 $1-1.2 Billion for future enterprise sales of $2-10B in the coming years. Win/Win for both companies.
