The reviewer over at the ssdreview site said this in his forum about the Vector.
"when they said they were literally putting hours through each one to achieve steady state before it left the factory they werent kidding. Our sample arrived with 14 hours on it. I wonder if that is standard."
This is going to be huge for OCZ's reputation since it eliminates most, if not all defective units from getting to customers. They should have been doing this from day 1 but better late than never. I am assuming this will be the new standard for any drive that ships out including the Vertex line. It should really improve user feedback given on sites which will put their drives in a better light leading to increased sales.
