    How about ethanol?

You have not thought through the ethanol source issue: it uses almost as much energy to produce ethanol as it creates in gas replacement. The problem is you. the fat-assed American consumer who insanely relies on oil.

Do your studies. Don't be such an if\gnorant idiot.

    • The ethanol industry in a few short years is in its formative stages much like the crude oil industry after its some odd 80 years of non-development. I must ask you about the energy intensive processes of refining crude oil in comparison to that of ethanol production. If you are up to it, please compare the dangers that come along with each industry. Then you may go and fock yourself.

    • Actually the problem is changing the carburetors over. Brazl has 15% of there vehicles that have changed there carbs so that they can take straight gas, straight ethanol or a mix. The auto industry in the U.S is still in denial as is the oil industry. I assume you are a member or supporter of the oil industry. fyi, the United States is changing its tractor trailers over to lp which is plentiful and gives just as much power.
