to the Gulf shore, the fishing industry and the men that lost thier lives on the Horizon rig. But, you can't just blame one entity for everything here. I'm sure the rig crew was negligent as well as BP's management as well as Transoceans men and managers and there's a whole lot more we don't even know about. So, why then do all these news reports/lawyers/etc try to sue (just one company -BP) for being totally liable? We all realize that the families are trying to get revenge (in the form of $$$) but I lost a family member that also volunteered (to smoke) and lost his life and no one gave his family didly. The families of the radiation cleanup people in Japan that die won't get didley either. It's nuts, but let's make some sense of it all.
BP will be $70.00 with or without $100 million. Halliburton and Transocean will pay 90% of the liability of the 11 families. If you think BP to $70 is about $100 million. Heck that's 10 hours of profits. It's not about $100 million its about Hedge Managers trying to get all the stock they can cheap! Heck BP will pay the $100 million in a minute and not look back.
