your assessment might be wrong as revenues benefitted from an additional week which lasted two days into February - obviously some analysts estimated revenues without taking into account this benefit so the adjusted revenue looks more or less in line with estimates or just slightly higher.
GAAP earnings were overshadowed by $18 mln in charges so the real earnings number would have been $3.5 mln or $0.066 per share which is in fact better than the analyst consensus of $0.05.
there's also some positive commentary regarding recent sales trends in the release.
Overall the quarter obviously went slightly better than expected with management expressing cautious optimism going forward. Would expect some positive analyst commentary tomorrow but given the recent outperformance of the stock and the sad events in Boston and its influence on stock market sentiment I would expect the stock to tread water tomorrow at the very best.
