WHAT'S AHEAD: Last month, Arch Coal and Peabody announced they are combining with St. Louis-based utility Ameren Corp. and Washington University to try and make St. Louis the nation's center for clean coal research and education. Arch and Peabody each will contribute $5 million and Ameren $2 million over a five-year period. A new building is expected to open in 2010.
Anyone notice our infrastructure charge has went from $0.77 a month to $0.99. Now the public service Commission is going to allow them a BIG increase. THank heavens for that!! C.E.O. will now be able to survive these bad times!!
