I'm a bit confused with the stock price behavior lately. Don't give me wrong, I'm a big supporter of AMPE and I strongly believe in the company and know the stock will hit new highs soon. I don't however understand this last 15 minutes price hikes. The stock opens at the same level or a bit higher than the date before, drops to some significant lows and then it sky rockets in the last 10 to 15 minutes before closing. I'm sitting in a bar, sipping Mai Tais here in HI so I'm not able to think clearly ;) Can someone explain this behavior for me?
The guy in the bar seat next you drinking that Lava Flow (with the pink umbrella) is short on the stock. After seeing that there was support in excess of $4.25 figured it was time to cover before news was announced and they took his beach chair away.
That guy looked pale, broke and depressed. I was wondering if it was the Lava Flow (with the pink umbrella) or something else that bothered him. His wife, sitting a few chairs away, started on her sixth drink...it was only noon. She kept yelling at him..something about him finishing too soon. Around 3:45 PM EST, he made a couple of calls. I think one was to his broker and the other one was about participating in a clinical trial.
