I couldn't find anything in the AMPE filings that reflect any kind of restriction on the sale of the newly issued shares under the offering that closed yesterday. I find it encouraging that the new investors apparently have decided not to go for a quick 30+% gain and dump a bunch of shares today. Close at $5.50 on Monday and sell at $7.50 on Tuesday must certainly have some appeal unless there is a high level of confidence that the upside is significantly greater in the relative short term. Maybe just wishful thinking, or twisting everything possible into a positive sign... but still glad to see there is no apparent profit-taking dump.
Think about it, guys. AMPE didn't raise $25 million from key funds without telling a convincing story of things to come!! This is 5X the usual raise! Most of the buyers are likely sophisticated institutional investors who are out for triples, 5X, and more. They won't turn and dump for 35% if they believe ANY part of the vision!
if the stock takes any kind of a dip with unrestricted shares I wouldn't anticipate them to be strong holders who at some point might try to lock in their gains and exacerbate any dip. its the kind of stuff that makes for some irrational moves in pps. I'm expecting a buying opportunity at much lower prices
Normally one would expect a buying opportunity, however, if a decision was made to dump in $25MM cash, you think maybe they get a peak at the private wine cellar and at least some of the details....somewhat like getting to take cuts in the line...
