Every voter should have to produce a "photo ID " before they are allowed to vote. Simple as that. Some would say it is "voter suppression." What a "stupid" argument. Is it "driver suppression" when a cop pulls you over and requires you to produce photo ID? (Drivers license.) Of course not. (Voters attempting to cheap should be charged with a Federal crime and should be sentenced to 10 years in a Federal prison with no early parole.)
I live in Clackamas County, Oregon where they just caught a temporary worker filling in Republican votes in the blanks when someone didn't vote for every race on their ballot. She was dumb enough to use pencil to complete ballots where the true/original voter used pen. Now the tampered ballots (state/county won't release a number) are "quarantined" and won't be counted, possibly changing the outcomes of some very close races.

VOTING is a citizen's right ...driving is NOT. Voter fraud is practically not existent because it carries a penalty of 10 years federal prison and up to $10,000 fine for each incremental illegal vote. Who is stupid enough to take that chance for one vote. The publicity surrounding this issue makes no sense. Sure there might be some pranksters who fill out a voter registration form as " micky mouse"...but they never actually turn up to vote
