Everytime I turn on the TV, somebody is asking the public to make donations to the victims of "Sandy." Here's an idea. Instead of giving "Egypt" $2 billion in foreign aid, why don't we use that money to help the "victims.of Sandy?" Imagine that. Our country could do something intelligent for a change.

    • I believe even rory will comprehend this:

In the end, more than freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all – security, comfort, and freedom. When the Athenians finally wanted not to give to society but for society to give to them, when the freedom they wished for most was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free and was never free again.

      - Edward Gibbon, English historian and acclaimed author of "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire."

I hope everyone has a chance to meditate on the quote above, as it applies to the state of our society here and now. History may not exactly repeat, but it sure does seem to rhyme (to paraphrase Mark Twain).

    • We have to keep our petro dollars in circulation. If they find out gold is a better retainer of value, it's over for the dollar. The whole world is a ponzi scheme. We send printed dollars to every freakin nation in the world and in return they have to buy arms with them.

But as I warned you, the hiccups will come faster and faster. Watch metals spike in the next few weeks. They were a deal at $18.60 an ounce for silver. Should've listen. Buy some extra TP.

Ironic we have a fed chairman who wrote his thesis on why the great depression happen and we have the leader of the free world who received the noble peace prize. We will see the greatest depression and WW3 at the same time. Go figure.

We have a leader who should be teaching liberal arts classes at the University of California, Berkley. He is the perfect example of a Professor who can tell you everything that happened 200 years ago, but if he were to open the hood on his car, he wouldn't be able to find the "dip stick."
