dan, with piii results coming in WAY before 18months both the FDA and big pharma will not be waiting till the end. why do you say 'no deals in works for licensing? i think there are indeed license deals in works.
no....since the study will only recruit patients who are ineligible or have failed prior immunotherapy, and is restricted to local control goals, it is not surprising that it will take 18 months (probably longer) to recruit with their current sites. They are looking for a very small slice of the pie now. Look back at how long it took them to recruit 80 patients for a PII in stage II/IV patients (the most common study population in melanoma research for medical oncology).
You will not see real data till the end of the trial, the company will look at interim data to affirm safety and non-futility, but this study is not designed with sufficient power to judge an early success or failure based on PFS as the primary end point.
Based on recent experience at NWBO, I doubt PVCT will be making any public statements about trial patients or compassionate care results anytime soon
Investors are stuck waiting the duration on this one.
