Last week I met James Ross, the President and CEO of Southwest Securities, Inc., the securities trading division of SWS Group. He actually took 5 minutes of his time to talk to me about the company, and I was impressed (His first comment was to apologize for his strong Texas accent).
am here stockangel. this board is useless if you want chatter or info, but i am real and a long, long term holder of SWS. it is my biggest holding. i am not rich, but could have done much worse this year. will look to sell off some before Jan 1st to offset my losses from a ponzi scheme i was once in. good luck.
I was following this stock's price action before the October melt down. It was acting strong an went over $20/shr. I got the feeling that something was cooking. The buyers were cautious but relentless. If some entity has been accumulating they have had a feast. It's difficult to take a substantial position in a stock that trades so thin and requires patience if you aren't going to price yourself out. Anyway I'm expecting to see some news concerning SWS later in 2009. WW
