AS OF 1/25/2013 , AND THATS 2013 , NOT 2011 , THE NAV IS 4.60, AND AFTER TODAY , IT WILL BE 4.75 , ALPINE RECEIVES $17,497,986 IN DIVIDENDS ........ so we are trading below the NAV , which is a "buy" signal, look at PHK , which is trading above the NAV , which is a "sell" signal
and as i said before , as you buy and hold , i buy then sell then buy then sell then buy then sell ,
the divy means nothing to a day-trader, if i want divy's i use CRF, CFP, CLM
Do you even know how a "dividend harvest" CEF works? Do you even know how a fund can produce lot's of dividend income, lots of UNII, no ROC and yet still get hammered? Why don't you explain that to us, OK? Since I really want to know why AOD's NAV has gone from $19.07 to $4.60 in only 6-years.
