    • Thanks, dudette, I was wondering. I guess we should make reservations soon, and, since there are some impressively smart people posting here who are certain that you and I will be flat out broke, I checked out the nearby bridges on google maps. There's one crossing the Schuylkill only about 600 m from the hotel, so I am claiming the dryest spot under the first piling on the west bank. If I promise to bring some Thunderbird, will you show up and prepare some of that tasty Spam you know how to cook so well? Mmmm-mmmm!

      • sneerster dude,

I usually go here and get me some cats. It is dry there too ya know.

Common catches on Schuylkill Banks include catfish, perch, sunfish, carp and bass. Depending on the river conditions.

My spot on Schuylkill Banks are between Locust and Walnut Streets, under the Walnut Street Bridge.

Ah, Thunderbird--I love a good wine so that is so very generous of you, how can I resist?--Make it the Gallon jug though dude. Wait, make that two Jugs. Who drinks the most? Colored--scratch that---Belgians do of course.

As for the spam--well we usually do skinned cats on a stick over the fire these days. Spam is so yummy(state meat of hawaii) but do to hard times I've switched to generic spam from Aldi markets--tastes the same tho but sure, Spam it is--the real stuff for a special occasion.

Do save a few quarters to drop in thi2566's cup though. He is usually at the front of the Hotel, cup in hand begging change for a Pencil in his cup--I give him 2 but always take the pencil!
