Nothing else I like as well as NVDQ at the moment. If I were putting additional money to work I would probably put it here although I might wait for a few days and try to catch a slightly better entry point on typical weekly volatility. Then again there is always the risk that the better entry point won't present itself.
Good Luck, I'll give you a heads up if I see anything compelling. Right now this looks pretty compelling. I think MELA is ultimately a winner too but NVDQ is a much better bet at this point. I also like ISRG, SSYS and DDD.
One caveat, I evaluate companies primarily as buy and hold investments, not trading opportunities. The same things that make a company interesting to me as a long term investment often make them interesting to larger players but I never set out with a buyout in mind. I almost always evaluate a company as though I'm going to own it for a long time. Any of these companies would be great in a retirement account and will probably do pretty well over the 12 to 24 month time frame as well. As far as whether they will do well over the 2 to 180 day time frame, I have no idea.
Here are the current quotes on these for future comparison
I've owned all of these for several years at this point.
Thanks, very much appreciated. Your investment philosophy pretty much mirrors my own. I continue to add more shares of NVDQ to my portfolio. I continue to also add to MELA as I like the manner in which the commercialization phase is being conducted. For a moment there today I thought there might be some important news coming out on NVDQ. They are on a very nice quiet run.
