Over the last couple days I added 90k shares, 40k at .077 a couple days ago and 50k at .0835 today.
What amazed me both times is two things. First the limit prices I entered for the orders was .08 and .085, respectively....yet I got my orders filled BELOW my limits. Second, both orders filled within seconds yet if you look at the daily action there are very few trades and the numbers on the bid and ask are small.
Then, my real question, who in the world would ever sell a 8 cent stock? I understand buying since a buyer envisions a rise in price. But selling at this level? Bizarre. Even if you bought at 3 cents why would you sell at 8, it still isn't worth anything. The whole market cap of the company is only several million. Whatever.
I guess its just a me think. I tend to look at a stock going from 30 dollars to 80 dollars as significant, or from $3 to $8 as legit, hell even from 30 cents to 80 cents...but I look at 3 cents to 8 cents as noise.
I rarely buy sub 40 cent stocks but occasionally I will if I think it has even a 20% chance of "becoming big".
I don't really understand either. Are you expecting every company to grow to become an Exxon Mobile or be worth several billions? Very few stocks go from 8 cents to 100 dollars. You also have to consider the short term traders (of which this market is vastly made up of), and even those worried that the stock price will decline.
