Off topic on the debt issue, I've been reading some of the news, and in an article about semiconductor manufacturing equipment companies, amkr's name as associated with it. It occurred to me it's happened also in the past. I wonder how much of the negativity on this stock is due to the possibility that investors think amkr makes semiconductor equipment? That would be a bad thing since the equipment book-to-bill is usually lousy, and the chip gear companies are a high risk area.
Nine: Let's remember that 98% of the non-Kim stock is held by large funds. They know what Amkor does. I would also go as far as to say that most of the retail owners know that they are an OSAT. It is just the print and the talking heads on TV that quite often don't have a clue about most of what the write or say. That's why I'm never surprised or pay much attention to any of it.
