    Qualtiy/accuracy of Z data

New to Z stock after recently using their site for property search. It seems like a lot of properties are missing from their site, I am looking to sell some property and checked out prices of similar properties that have sold recently. Data not on Z - and I know the properties were sold via a broker. Additionally, there is a lot of data on the Z site that is in conflict with the real estate broker web sites.

Z has a terrific concept - they need to add people to resolve the known problems and seek to become a common thread of data being used by buyers, sellers and brokers.

      • Nothing to do with me and the fact that graydrake thinks Zillow is a terrific concept is proof of that. As far as I am concerned Zillow is notorious for inaccuracy and poor data integrity. Many homes are already under contract by the time Zillow imports its data feeds from listing sites and that is very frustrating to potential buyers who waste valuable time checking out homes that are no longer on the market. Even worst is Zillows nonsense Zestimate valuations which are useless beyond description. When the Zillow CEO accpets that 17% of over 100 million Zestimates are more than 25% incorrect that is a serious issue. An even bigger problem is Zillows refusal to correct or delete these erroneous Zestimates when requested by the homeowner who have to live with the misery and financial damage that these inaccurate Zestimates cause. It is time that Zillow was subject to some form of Regulation as they have demonstrated that they cannot be trusted to act in a socially responsible way - there should be an opt out website DoNotZestimate for any homeowner who has concerns over the inaccuracy of the Zestimate unilaterally imposed by Zillow.
