What will the impact be of RPM being on the NYSE be to the stock price? I haven't seen the break out on the price that I thought I would see. I still like RPM. Solid company.Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Any speculation on the effect of this move would be just that. I have watched one company through that. The move did not help that stock; but their customer industry took a massive hit just after the move. Obviously, management thought it was the right thing to do. I have a hard time questioning management that has put RPM's growth numbers for so long on that sort of issue. Theoretically, NYSE listing is more prestigous, more likely to elicit following by analysts, and more likely to interest institutions. But the operative word in the last sentence is the first one!
RPM management does not speculate. They know what they are doing. The Tremco acquisition already is paying handsomely to the bottom line. There is a combination of companies involved with the Tremco business thrust that forms a group with clout in the marketplace within the roofing industry that stretches beyond the U.S.borders. This combination has already shown a gain of over $1,300,000.00 in OI since FY 1997 which ended may 31,l998. More good things yet to happen with this stock. Believe me, RPM is WELL positioned in the roofing and protective coatings industry. Their products are second to none in quality and dependability and the competition is well aware of this.Thousands of customers also know this and that is why they continue to use RPM products.RPM is rock solid. Have a good day. Leakstop
