The Corvette plant blows up. No one was injured during a natural gas explosion just after noon Thursday in a compressor station at the Crestwood Corvette Gas Processing Plant on Godley Road. How long is it going to stay down? Gas volumes going down for Q3 not good. Have to wait till OSHA is done with investigation never good, this can get ugly fast. Info at Hood County news.
HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Sep 11, 2012) - Crestwood Midstream Partners LP ( NYSE : CMLP ) ("Crestwood") announced today that it has initiated start-up operations at its Corvette natural gas processing facility in Hood County, Texas following a fire that occurred on Thursday, September 6, 2012. The fire damaged one of nine compressors and a portion of the building housing the compressors adjacent to the processing facility. No injuries were sustained as a result of the incident. The Corvette cryogenic natural gas processing unit was not damaged and was taken out of service as a normal part of the facility's emergency shut-down procedures. Natural gas that was flowing through the Corvette facility prior to the compressor incident was re-routed to Crestwood's other nearby processing facilities or was temporarily shut-in by producers while operations at the Corvette facility were suspended. Crestwood expects the Corvette facility to be back to full service capability in the next few days.
