    Obama talking to Pickens

Obama in the question and answer session today referenced conversations with T. Boone Pickens and how we can't drill ourselves out of an energy crisis. Is the Obama administration starting to embrace the natural gas industry now, with the continued talk on "alternative energy", or is this the same lack of vision and policy from D.C.?

    • Dam you fux-en moron I quess you hate fox news. Bottom line, both parties are equally to blame for the mess we are in. Not FOX news. They have been given lip service to the energy problem since the 70's.
Now that I think of it though, it must be those violent tea partiers fault. OH no, I said it before you could. You libs crack me up.

Did you get that??????} last Year the Obama Administration clearly seemed not for NAT GAS bill and especially last spring. Reid always had to tie something in the NAT GAS bill like eliminating Gulf drilling and CAP AND TRADE which was a total given that the bills proposals last year would be voted down. I would love to see link or some transcript where Obama was strongly favored for NAT GAS last Spring as you say...What a dam laugh!!

Congressional record august and november 2010. Republican mitch mcconnell filibusters energy bill.
      did you get that??????

Do you work for FAUX "news"?
I guess if you lie long enough, hard enough, and often enough someone will believe you.
Check out the CONGRESSIONAL RECORD, (OR DO YOU THINK IT'S A SOCIALIST PUBLICATION?) THE REPUBLICANS IN THE SENATE ARE BLOCKING THIS BILL WITH A FILIBUSTER. TURN OFF THE FUX CHANNEL FOR 10 MINUTES AND LOOK IT UP ONLINE. Please read this before you continue to tell lies (or are they lies if you are just repeating what Fox told you?) MAYBE that's your excuse. Nov. 17th, 2010, McConnell filibusters energy bill. August 2010, Mc
Connell filibusters energy bill. You might pass this news along to Fox, although I'm sure they would never report it since it doesn't fit with their AGENDA.

Senate republican leader Mitch McConnell is the holdup, not Obama. Why don't you write to McConnell and ask him what his problem is?

    • macgardner Mar 11, 2011 7:10 PM Flag

The cleaner coal pitch may be a crumb to republicans in the senate from coal producing states. The republicans, not Obama, have this bill held up. Check McConnell's filibusters in August and again in November when Harry Reid wanted to bring the energy bill to a vote, with near unanimous democratic support, and a few republicans as well.

    • A move toward natural gas as a propulsion fuel would indeed
be wise! Right now oil companies have the hammer and use the smallest excuse to wield it. There is reason oil should be over 85 a bbl now. It has lot today with speculation and a propped runup by big oil and financial
talking heads who benefit immensly from high pump prices.
All your Goldman Sachs and related institutions have been
trying to talk the per bbl price up since it was at it's
low's. The US imports less than 1/2 of 1 percent of oil
from Libya, yet that is the excuse the oil price pumpers are using for the inordinate propulsion (gas) fuel prices.Simply more Wall Street greed, it is Wall Street
and it's elevated talking head player who run this country
more specifically for their own greedy benefits. That is why our country is a much bigger mess than most realize!!!

    • celebs really lol, big lobby against natty thats why its called status quo

    • is that it? I thought it was because he was paid off ...
