It is a great partnership and eventually my assumption is that GE is going to buy up CLNE, but it also acknowledges that there is significant reluctance on the part of transports to put up the money to transition.
The very first slide shown as a header on the GE capital transportation finance page says, "considering natural gas? We've just made it easier. After you click on that the first thing it takes you to is the press release announcing that GE capital in clean energy form a strategic alliance to accelerate adoption of natural gas in trucking industry.
For anyone that doesn't understand what that means concretely, "we think this alliance will help to open up the natural gas market for long-haul operators," said Dan Clark, president and general manager of GE capital, transportation finance.
