I'm looking at OAKBX and this one. Any thoughts?
I have both. VWELX in 401K and OAKBX in taxable.
Why? Do you think Vanguard is joking when they say "10K minimum" ??? What part of that don't you understand?
I own both VWELX and OAKBX. Both good funds, and not much overlap in stocks.Yeah, Vanguard instituted the 10K minimum a couple of years ago, to try and keep the fund from getting too big. Bummer.
So far, they have not penalized for dropping below the minimum for Admiral shares either. However, I wonder if they will at some point?
Yes, the $10,000 minimum is that only stinky part about Wellington. However, I will note that you are NOT required to keep a minimum balance. My wife's IRA at Fidelity DOES require a minimum balance and, to my knowledgem Wellington does not.
