Wish I'd sold some of my other holdings, drop was ugly. Just felt it had run too far too fast. 5% yield was the trigger to sell. don't claim to be smarter than anyone else, just lucky for once. Hope to buy back more shares lower on a correction. Has been a great holding this year and believe it will be great going forward,
My congrats on your timing. To me there was very little difference between 32 and 38 so there was no reason to sell. Painful 2 days but I saw it as an opportunity. I had reaised cash on some of my non divi paying stocks over the last weeks and anything connected to gold. Spend half of that this morning in the bloodbath including more OHI. Didn't catch the bottom for now but close. Holding my other 50% of cash
for a followup on the crash in case my opinion is wrong that we just have a correction here based on a trigger that everyone knew about anyway.
cant belive I bought 4000 shares of this yesterday after what I thought was a low ready to bounce...but today was brutal the way it kept dropping. cmon $36.25 baby! any predictions how long it will take to hit the lower 36 prices again???
Congrats. The drop seemed bad, but so far only dropped OHI back to the price we were at about one week ago. I sold 40% of my position a couple of weeks ago, thinking OHI was getting ahead of itself. The question is, when to buy back in? I fear we are beginning a long period with investors trying to guess what the Fed will do next and when they'll do it. Both stock prices and bond prices may be pretty volatile for a while. Should be interesting.
Agree. Sold 1000 shares in my retirement account. Will watch price action for a while and try to determine level to buy back. Feel very fortunate to have secured returns for time being. My last three purchases in past couple weeks AGNC, MDCO, and TKR (today) are all initially under water. I feel a little more relaxed with this sale.
